I've posted about Jane's vintage whimsical altered collage lovelies in the past, but I had to devote another post to her creations because....I just can't get enough. I love vintage sewing patterns, so to use them to create one-of-a-kind darlings makes my heart flutter! I want everything {and more} I featured above. Well, I think I'm going to mosey on over to Jane's Etsy shop to do a little shopping.

Enjoy.

Book of Lovelies

{images via lobster and swan}

Looking at these interior lovelies, I can see myself stepping through the pages of these scrapbooks and swapping lives with the people who inhabit these beautiful and inspiring spaces.

If only for one night...

Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving, my whimsies!

Illustrative Whimsy

These dreamlike, whimsical illustrations make me smile, and were created by French illustrator, Lydia Lys Selimalhigazi, who in her works, utilizes drawings and writings with vintage photographs, collages and engravings. Love these! See more here.

1920s Inspired Art

{images: audrey eclectic}
Here's some beautiful inspirational art to look at as you go into your weekend. I found these on Flickr. Heather, whose an artist and writer, loves vintage images, folk art and whimsical illustrations. Her folk art collages are made from recycled wood scraps. I just love 'em, love 'em all! These ladies are collages of 20s glamour. You can buy Heather's inspirational art at her Etsy store and you can see more on Flickr. Have an fun and inspiring weekend! Be kind. Be whimsy. Be you.

Julie Thompson of the lovely blog, Jane's Apron, makes the cutest note cards, collage door hangings, clip boards, gift tags and clothes pins (Yes, clothes pins - they are too cute!) all made from vintage sewing patterns & altered children's books. She scores the best thrift stuff,too! Don't you agree? If you do, you should drop by her Flickr site & Etsy shop to see more of her vintage lovelies.
